Empowering Asia’s Cyclists and Mechanics
Bike School Asia was established in recognition of the lack of formal training opportunities for bicycle mechanics in Asia, and the need to raise the standards of mechanic services in tandem with the increase in complexity of bike technology.
To set the standard of excellence for bicycle mechanics across Asia. We will always strive to provide quality instruction that keeps pace with contemporary developments in the cycling industry. We will impart knowledge without restriction. We will partner with people who share and are committed to our vision of Empowering Asia’s Cyclists and Mechanics.
Bike School Asia was founded by Kenneth Wee (Coach K), a professional cycling coach and bicycle mechanic who firmly believes in the need to elevate the standards of both cycling instruction and bicycle mechanics in Asia. He has delivered quality bicycle mechanic instruction since 2012 as the founder of Singapore Bike School, Singapore’s first school for cycling.
Some of his credentials include:
- Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Coaching Diploma, which included the syllabus from their ‘Course for mechanics’
- UBI Certified Mechanic
- UBI DT Swiss Certified Advanced Wheel Builder
- UBI Certified Suspension Technician
He also holds other cycling instruction credentials, which you can read about at Singapore Bike School’s website.

A bright, clean and friendly space for hands-on learning.
Bike School Asia’s training facility is centrally located in the Paya Lebar area, close to many bicycle concept stores and shops. Our classroom and workshop space can fit up to eight students at any one time. For complete address and location, click here.
What is Blended Learning and why has BikeSchool adopted it?
In essence, Blended Learning is traditional classroom learning combined with self-directed or self-paced learning. This allows you, the student, to learn things at a level of detail that interests you, at your own pace while still having access to our instructors during hands-on classroom sessions. This allows better mastery of topics at a ground level rather than having to move on when the rest of the class does, and keeps you from having holes in your learning that make it harder to understand more advanced topics.
You can access our in-depth, self-paced course materials 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — anytime, anywhere you have Internet access… extremely helpful if you are balancing your education with work and family life.
Provides immediate results and feedback
Our lessons integrate online quizzes and other formative assessment tools to rapidly record your pace of learning and evaluate your comprehension.
Brings theory to life
Taking advantage of the interactivity and multimedia power of the Internet, we can engage you with videotaped classroom scenes, interviews, and online demonstrations of concepts. This wide variety of activity and question formats offers a richer learning experience than typical textbook-based courses and workshops.
Keeps us (and you) up-to-date
The rapid evolution of cycling technology and subsequently our knowledge of most topics continues to grow and evolve, making printed textbooks unreliable within months! The remote delivery of our curriculum allows us to keep lessons current with new products and practices.
Trains the next generation of bike mechanics
Plenty of service manuals, settings and requirements are now available online through manufacturer websites. Online learning helps mechanics get comfortable accessing these resources and technologies.
